House of Emo was fashioned out of raw code to help emo kids & complete posers find each other and everything else they're hot for. Namely the emo fashions and music you love. We will do this mainly through occasional emo band and concert reviews, fashion tips, pictures and profiles of sexy emo kids like you--even bad poetry. And yes, we're totally gay for hot emo boys and girls.

"I'm A Big Douche At the Roseville Bars" The Song

You've heard the song. You've heard the spoofs. But guaranteed, you haven't heard this funny version of the "No Handlebars" song before I have. On the way home from work today I was treated to The Blobots brazenly unique twist on the "No Handlebars" song we all know and love. What makes the Blobots spoof awesome is that it's about my hometown, Roseville, California. You've gotta listen to it!

House of Emo: 2008 & Beyond

I'm sick and tired of seeing these poser emo sites popping up like opium fields for the masses. They make me want to cut some fool. Therefore, I want you to help make 2008 the best year ever for House of Emo, the original emo community. House of Emo is looking for writers/bloggers, band reviewers, photographers and music fans to join the House of Emo team in 2008.

Why Tower Records Closed It's Doors Forever

So, unless you've been hiding under a rock, you already know that megastore Tower Records has gone up in smoke. Once a haven for indie musicians and unsigned bands of all sorts, Tower Records has been on a slow and inevitable decline ever since it's founder, Russell Solomon, was gently ousted as the company's Chairman.

Emo Porn

You probably have to be over 18 to read this. You're over 18, right? I thought so. Among the millions of websites with pornographic content out there, there are countless ones dedicated to military studs, interracial sex, intergenerational sex. If you look hard enough, you can even find a handful of twink sites (young looking, legal boys having sex), but there's no emo porn in sight!

Attention Ladies And Gentleman, A Song By Press Return

I recently got to do an interview with Pierce and Josh, the dynamic duo that is Press Return. This emo-ish indie outfit from New Paltz, NY is booking a tour with Tiger of Paris from December 29 to January 7th. Press Return's unique stripped down "six strings and vocal chords" approach to their music is beginning to attract attention, recently even landing them a spot in the Small Band Round Up on AbsolutePunk.net.

"Signing Emo" Song - Artistic Spoof or Hard Reality?

Maybe I'm the last person on earth to hear this song. Certainly I'm the only person alive who doesn't watch mtv. However, I thought I'd post about this just in case there are a couple more of you out there like me who tend to be oblivious to most of the cool videos floating around the internet.

Goodbye My Chemical Romance, Welcome The Black Parade

In My Chemical Romance news, remember in my last post when I told you I wasn't impressed with the bands new song, Welcome to the Black Parade? Maybe I'm just being an insolent little emo kid who's doting on his sweetheart, but hear me out. Then you can watch a cool video interview with the band and tell me what you think.

Death Cab For Cutie Tour Dates

Death Cab for Cutie is on the radio as I write this. Is it a sign I should say something? I missed out on their Sacramento concert the last time they toured the U.S., but I won't miss them this time. Who cares they're emo or not. Death Cab rocks!

Danny Glix Emo Art Psychadelica

Are you ready for a mind fuck? In our very first round of emo art on display, I'm proud to introduce my good friend, the inimitable Danny (Mindblowing Mushroom Man) Glix. His art is emo by my definition of emo: somewhat queer, totally awesome and strangely hard-to-define.
